HanaYou Moved to New York
A new chapter for HanaYou—back in New York, practicing ikebana and slowly preparing for what’s next.

It’s been a while since I last wrote to everyone. You may have been wondering what happened to HanaYou!
At the end of August, we moved back to New York City because of a family relocation. It was sad to leave Kyoto, and I already miss it so much, but we’re slowly settling into our new life in NYC.
What’s next for HanaYou?
We’re hoping to reopen HanaYou Ikebana in New York sometime next year. Our ikebana supplies are still on their way from Kyoto, so for now, I’m taking this time to practice, explore, and find new inspiration here in New York.
On Instagram, I’ll be sharing more of my personal ikebana practice—trying different branches and flowers, exploring their unique character, and experimenting with more free-style arrangements.
I’d also love to share the journey of bringing HanaYou back to New York: finding flowers, discovering new inspiration, preparing for classes, and slowly creating a new home for HanaYou here.
