This week, I’d love to share something a little different. Our friend SJF, who makes the Kyoto, in Sound podcast, made a beautiful video and audio episode about HanaYou.
During the recording, SJF went with me to Rokkakudo (the temple where ikebana was born centuries ago), Hanamasa (the flower shop where I source most of my florals), and HanaYou Studio itself.
Along with his voice, you can hear the gentle sounds of flowers being cut, birds singing, temple bells, and the everyday rhythm of Kyoto.
SJF is a talented storyteller and narrator. I hope this video and audio experience brings you a sense of calm and lets you experience the peaceful atmosphere of HanaYou, wherever you are.
You can experience the episode in various ways:
If you'd like to experience this same journey yourself, I offer the same Guided Ikebana Tour we do in the episode, as well as individual Ikebana Workshops. These can be booked on my website.
I hope you'll join me when you're visiting Kyoto.
