A New Chapter for HanaYou
HanaYou is moving to Kyoto this July—while continuing to serve New York remotely. Discover what’s ahead as we expand from one home to two.

Since starting HanaYou in Astoria in 2023, I’ve had the joy of meeting so many wonderful students and creating beautiful memories together. Your support has meant the world to me—thank you from the bottom of my heart.
At the end of July, my family and I will be moving to Kyoto, Japan—the birthplace of Ikebana! I’m excited to continue sharing this traditional art with both locals and visitors in such a special place.
But HanaYou is not saying goodbye to New York!
I’ll continue offering remote Ikebana classes and workshops for my NYC students. And in about a year, I hope to bring in-person classes back to New York. That means HanaYou will grow into two branches—one in Japan and one in the U.S.!
Until then, I’ll be sharing updates and stories from Kyoto, and I hope you’ll stay connected with me on this new journey.
HanaYou NYC classes are open until June 25 (Wednesday).
If you’d like to join a class before I go—or request a special Ikebana session—please feel free to message me. I’d love to see you before the big move!
With love and gratitude,
Ryoko
